Site Quality Assurance (Electrical)

Here is a new and exciting opportunity in sunny Kitimat British Columbia as a Site Quality Assurance (Electrical) team member. The successful candidate would have a chance to work on a mega project alongside likeminded professionals of a successful EPCM/ construction firm. Reporting to the Site Quality Manager the qualified individual would provide inspection services to support the site quality program on projects. This position relies on interpreting established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions within the scope of work. This role will also Support coordination with Construction Engineering to initiate timely analysis and resolution of identified discrepancies.

Job Duties:
- Review and become familiar with the project technical requirements such as the prime contract, applicable codes, standards, and
specifications
- Submit statistical information to Site Quality Manager or supervisor for weekly or monthly reporting purposes
- Perform physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to welding, piping, civil, concrete, buildings,
fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing
- Direct and monitor the application of Quality manpower to ensure that Quality inspection and testing commitments are met
- Ensure that documentation is being completed, signed off, and compiled as the work progresses to support turnover and record retention
activities at the project site

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience; 5-10 years preferred
- Master Electrician
- Certification by a recognized authority (i.e., ASNT, AWS, API, NACE) is preferred
- Intermediate or expert computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic or intermediate use of
spreadsheets and electronic presentations
