Specific Responsibilities:

The Site Quality Lead shall report to the Project Quality Manager, and On-site to the Construction Manager.

The Site Quality Lead shall be responsible for coordination and management of the On-site Quality Specialists, and assignment to ongoing work fronts.

In the role, Site Quality Lead shall provide Contractor oversight and assistance to ensure successful project delivery of across all disciplines associated with On-site construction works.

The team will be responsible for monitoring contractor Quality related planning activities and verifying conformance of works throughout execution, Including coordination with Commissioning and demonstrating construction verification.

Typical Activities include:

  • Review of construction contracts and isolation of applicable quality requirements.
  • Developing a working relationship with awarded contractors, and providing assistance during the quality planning phase.
  • Expediting contractor Prerequisite deliverables.
  • Provide at source reviews of documentation prior to formal submission – welding data – ITPs – Field Inspection Check sheets - MDR Index – Quality Plans. etc.
  • Distribute resources to monitor the works.
  • Ensure that Hold and Witness points are attended as required by approved ITPs.
  • Ensure documentation utilized in the field is approved for use and the latest revision.
  • Verify conformance of progressively produced verifying data.
  • Provide oversight of Progressive MDR completion.
  • Provide input to Monthly report.
  • Highlight areas of concern and assist in resolution of nonconforming conditions/ product.
  • Provide resources to inspect Contractor procured equipment as received on-site.

Skills:

  • Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Good Attention to detail.
  • Proactive disposition.
  • Able to take the lead and manage resources.
  • Able to read detailed drawings.
  • Previous experience In large Mining Projects (BHP Project experience Preferred).
  • Knowledge of Industry Standard AS/NZS Standards.
  • Proficient in report writing and electronic filing.
  • Understanding of Contract management and Facilitation.
  • General Understanding of Engineering standard Practices.
  • Construction Background Essential.

Qualifications:

  • Trade Certification Preferred.
  • Minimum CSWIP 3.1 or higher.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Inspection/ Quality management.
  • Auditing Experience preferred.
  • Current and Valid Driver’s License.
