Position specific responsibilities and requirements:
The Supervisor will be inbedded in the owner's construction team reporting to the Superintendent. Responsibilities include coordinating the construction contractor's activities on site, specific duties include:
- Paricipation in the site safety initiatives and proceedures and embrassing the project safety culture.
- Monitoring of the contractor’s daily works, including quality inspection, daily progress reporting and leading indicator safty leadeship activities.
- Ensuring efficient execution of the SMP scope by guiding the contractor’s teams in the installation, inspection and testing of systems, and identifying and correcting deficiencies.
- Liason with heavy lift, heavy haul and permit coordinators.
- Assist in interactions with mine operations and other contractors.
- Monitor and review risk register development and implementation of mitigations.
- Review of construction permits.
- Review of the contractor's work packaging and detailed planning.
- Participation in shut down supervision and assisting the the Shutdown Coordinator as required during shutdown execution.
- Liaise with supervisors from other areas re milestone interfaces.

Position required competencies and skills:
•Previous experience supervising heavy industry construction works.
•Proven knowledge and experience in project planning and resource management.
•Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
•Sound communication and interpersonal skills to enable clear and concise communication of plans
•Experienced in Risk management processes including facilitation of construction risk assessment workshops.
•Experience in Primavera P6 software or SAP will be advantageous
•Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Position required qualifications:
•Recognised Australian Mechanical Trade Qualification.
•Minimum of C class manual drivers licence

Position desired experience, competencies and qualifications:
5+ year construction supervision experience
