Design Engineer – Solar Structural
Role Purpose:
Responsible for designing structural systems for solar projects (ground-mount and rooftop), ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with codes, and cost-effective, buildable designs aligned with project needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare structural designs and analysis for MMS, module tables, foundations, and support systems.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOQs, design reports, and calculations.
• Review geotechnical reports and apply appropriate foundation design 
methodologies.
• Optimize designs for material efficiency and constructability.
• Validate vendor designs and coordinate with fabrication teams.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, MBMA, ASCE, AISC, and relevant international standards.
• Support technical reviews, RFI responses, and design approvals.
• Collaborate with SCM, EPC, site engineering, QA/QC, and projectteams for 
seamless execution.
• Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.
Must-Have Skills
• Strong proficiency in STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Deep knowledge of steel structures, PEB, MMS components, and fabrication 
methods.
• Understanding of wind load calculations, seismic design, soil interaction, and 
member sizing.
• Experience in utility-scale solar (preferred)
