Solutions Specialist

Our client, one of the largest petrochemical companies in the world, is seeking a Solutions Specialist to join their team in west Houston!

SUMMARY:

This individual will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and must have critical thinking skills to make decisions. This is heavily project management based and requires a candidate with a high-level business perspective.

DUTIES:
• Manage a portfolio of projects and has critical thinking to make decisions
• May be assigned 10-20 projects
• Track project status, progress and milestones, level of accomplishments
• Information is collected and passed on to management
• Projects are related to improve process, reduce cost, improve business efficiency, all under Supply Chain Logistics
• Example: Improve cost of shipping material from A to B without compromising quality, quantity, etc.
• Develop ideas for total cost out projects. Evaluation of feasibility of projects.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering. Master is desirable.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Knowledge in supply chain logistics and understanding the basics of finance operations.
• Experience with Process Improvement and cost calculation.
• Lean Six Sigma is desirable.
• Good communication and presentation skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams during project execution.
• SAP experience preferred.
