Strategic Project Operating Assistant

Our client, a leader in the petrochemical industry, is looking for a Strategic Project Operating Assistant in the lower mainland area. The qualified individual for this role will ensure take charge of operations input and see assigned projects through from conception to project close out. This role will require someone with the ability to work effectively with different project managers, team members and consultants on high value petrochemical projects.

Job Duties:
- Act as the main point of coordination between operations and
project team, assisting in the creation of turnover,
commissioning,
and startup plans
- Address project challenges, updates, and safety briefing to
project team; completion of field walks during construction
- Develop and approve training materials for projects as well as
the delivery of the training to operational and project team
- Work effectively to minimize project lifecycle cost while
championing and prioritizing a safety focused work
environment

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of operations experience, refinery experience
preferred
- 3rd Class Power Engineer required
- Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize safe operations
- Previous project management experience with strong
leadership track record
