The job:
You will develop multi physics simulation software for company products, starting with Floating Offshore Wind Turbine systems but later also Single Point Mooring systems. The multi physics simulation software will be based on industry recognised analysing software such as Python, Git, ANSYS and Orcaflex. You will be working with a team of specialist engineers.
You will be a driving force for the ongoing development of our tools and methodologies, ensuring they align with the demanding market requirements of the offshore energy industry. Also you will be responsible for implementation of a structured software development, version control, unit testing and similar principles to ensure a reliable software development.
On project matters you will report to the Technology Manager, providing regular updates on progress, setbacks and concerns related to the project.
Requested:
• Bachelor/master degree in Civil engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautics.
• Preferable 3-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering or similar (within an offshore/EPC company).
• Extensive experience with scripting in Python in an engineering environment.
• Experience with digital twins, GIT, Azure DevOps, Orcaflex and/or ANSYS is a pre.
• Good understanding of the English language, verbally as well as in writing. Dutch is a plus.
• An engineer with good communication skills and with ambition to grow.
• Knowledge of Applied Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis and materials.
• You are (currently) eligible to work in The Netherlands.
