"Our client is looking for your expertise as a SHIPYARD HULL/STRUCTURE SUPERVISOR with relevant experience in the Ferry / RoRo and/or Passenger Vessel newbuilding supervision for their survey for a new Shipyard building project of 2* 75 PAX Ferry (Double End Vessels) in a Shipyard based in TURKEY.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Working in shipyards or sites where ships are under construction.
• Responsible for managing a team of surveyors within the Hull Construction & Outfitting disciplines.
• Plays a pivotal role in the production and delivery of the new vessels and is an integral part of the Site Management team.
• Manages their teams by overseeing the distribution, quality control and monitoring of daily work activities of all team members.
• Provides the initial point-of-contact for their disciplines at their allocated shipyard for all inspection and commissioning remarks, ensuring timely follow-up of any issues and proactive problem solving.
• Supervises all installation works and commissioning of equipment related to discipline areas, ensuring they are inspected, verified and functionally tested to meet the design parameters and contractual requirements.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma qualification in relevant field of expertise.
• A minimum of Ten (10) years’ relevant experience in the Ferry / RoRo and/or Passenger Vessel Newbuilding supervision in Shipyard.
