They now offer an exciting opportunity for a Vessel Operations Engineer for the LTA KSA Project, based both at Amaad onshore office and offshore onboard a vessel in Saudi Arabia.

Mission:
  • Provide engineering reviews, address operation, advise (directly and indirectly) best practices both in the tender and in the projects to the Project Operation Manager (or delegate) to assist in the achievement of project/tender objectives, according to the plan/procedures developed by the engineering project team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project documentation reporting errors/omissions and suggest improvements considering advice from vessel operations management.
  • Assist in monitoring progress of work/site conditions and promptly advise if changes to project schedule/execution sequence may occur.
  • When onboard support Vessel Management Team in planning/execution of work/project contractual & technical requirements.
  • Provide operational input/support to onshore project teams.
  • Review installation procedures/loadout/sea fastening plans for material/structures of offshore transportation to ensure safe/timely installation.
  • Coordinate with Mobile Equipment, Asset, Piptec, ROV, Trenching, pre-commissioning, Hook-up to ensure that all necessary personnel/equipment are timely available.
  • Coordinate with Fabrication Dept for loadout of fabricated structures/installation aids.
  • Lead project planning efficiency optimisation (installation aids re-use, tensioner pad change-outs, equipment mob/demob, ROV tooling consistency).
  • Be involved in project HAZIDs/HIRAs and Track of tasks.
  • Verify that relevant schedules reconcile with present vessel productivity.
  • Assist with project management specific third-party contractors confirming all technical/operational contractual aspects are observed.
  • Assist vessels mobilisation/demobilisation to ensure that all equipment is handled in correct manner and everyone involved is aware of all safety/technical aspects of operation.
  • Prepare/record/participate in completion of feedback reporting (Lessons learnt, offshore debriefs, end of project reporting).
  • Coordinate/consolidate all inputs from multiple disciplines (Operations, Asset, Engineering) to support development of commercial proposals.
  • Be involved in preparing installation vessels’ standard methods.

Qualifications and Skills requirements:
  • Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in: Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in vessel mobilization.
  • STCW safety certifications as required, with demonstrated knowledge of SOLAS/MARPOL regulations and adherence to HSE and QA/QC standards.
  • Proficient English language skills (written and verbal).
