For our client we are currently seeking an Area Turnover / Completion Lead to join the team delivering this project, a high‑profile mining and metals development in Greece.
The Area Turnover / Completions Lead will be responsible for all turnover and handover activities within a defined area of the processing plant. This role plays a critical part in driving system completion, coordinating documentation, ensuring technical readiness, and managing close-out activities to achieve a safe and timely transition from construction to commissioning.
This is a key leadership role for the remaining duration of the project (10–12 months).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all area-specific handover and turnover activities for the processing plant.
- Develop and maintain completion plans, including system and subsystem breakdowns, turnover packages, documentation, and certification requirements.
- Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams to align on completion priorities.
- Oversee and validate all completion documentation, including ITRs, test packs, check sheets, redlines, and certificates.
- Drive punch list creation, prioritization, resolution, and close-out within the assigned area.
- Ensure turnover packages meet project standards, technical requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Monitor progress against completion KPIs and provide regular updates to project leadership.
- Interface with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and complete submission of all required deliverables.
- Support commissioning readiness, system energization, and final handover to operations.
- Promote and enforce safety and environmental standards in all activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in turnover, completions, or commissioning roles on large industrial projects.
- Proven experience in handover/turnover on mining or metals processing projects (mandatory).
- Strong technical background in Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) disciplines.
- Familiarity with completion systems, turnover workflows, and commissioning processes used on major EPC/EPCM projects.
- Engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
- Must be an EU citizen or already authorized to work in Greece (visa sponsorship cannot be provided due to timelines).
