Construction Manager

The Role
The Construction Manager is accountable for the construction planning and execution of the project. In the early project phases, the CM ensures that constructability is considered in design. The CM provides safety leadership to the construction and pre-commissioning activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Accountable for all aspects of Construction (incl. fabrication) activities (Contract Administration, Scheduling, Cost, Quality Assurance, Labour, Forecasting) during the Optimise, Define, Execute and Operate stages of a project.
- Leads the development of the construction execution plan, with detailed schedule, resource plan and budget in line with the overall project execution plan.
- Maintains communication with Construction and Commissioning Discipline Manager and provides regular verification update.
- Identifies construction execution risks at appropriate project stages and ensures that risks are managed throughout the project life cycle.
- Leads construction reviews (and contributes to other functional reviews, peer assists and assurance processes) as required by the project common process.
