We are seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer. The role involves ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and optimization of electronic systems onboard, supporting safe and efficient operations. This offshore position is worldwide, with the current assignment located Offshore Indonesia for the DVD Deep Value Driller Drill Ship Project.
Mission:
- Work in coordination with the electrical team, where sufficient electrical knowledge is necessary.
- Plan the electrical maintenance reporting to the Electrical Lead / Chief Engineer.
- Act as the Cyber Security Officer (CySO) in line with IMO maritime instruments, where applicable as per Organization Chart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control on-board electrical/electronic equipment according to safety procedures.
- Define maintenance work setting priorities and propose maintenance schedule.
- Propose to own superior the required quantity of material stock levels in order to maintain work continuity.
- Ensure that work activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and practices.
- Act as focal point for cyber security matters.
- Ensure compliance with the cyber security model established by the Company and with the applicable standards, where applicable as per Organization Chart.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- High School Diploma in Electrical – Electronic sciences or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Electronic Engineer (or in a similar role), including at least 2 years of experience in offshore rig operations.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Electronic Engineer (or in a similar role), including at least 4 years of experience in offshore rig operations.
- Minimum 5 year-experience during which the Candidate has covered the position as Electronic Engineer / electronic technician (or higher position).
- Technical knowledge of drilling systems.
- English language skills required.
