Key responsibilities
• Responsibility and management of the design and execution of all phases of the project in a variety of industries (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Food and Chemicals)
• Leadership of the project : Internal and customer-side (Single Point of Contact) & coordination of the different disciplines
• Set up the project structure, organize staff mobilization and demobilization, define the needs, interview and select In-House Contractors
• Responsibility for the associated budgets, recognition of contractual deviations and identification of potential job expansion, Change management
• Internal project cost control (PPR), gross margin responsibility
• Establish overall Project Master Schedule, including all main activities. Critical path analysis and Critical Path Safe Guarding.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary dependencies in all phases of the project
• Monitoring / controlling of the key engineering documents such as P&ID, equipment lists, layout plans, …, organize design reviews
• Elaboration and/or verification of the technical and commercial specifications, contract negotiations
• Supervise the compliance to the design during construction and oversee the construction management
• Organize constructability review
• Ensure incorporation of all safety and cGMP, client specific requirements
• Definition of the final deliverable list. Quality supervision.
• Accountable for safety organization (EHS plan)
• Risk management (organize risk review sessions)
• Follow-up client cost estimate
• Organize and steer project meetings
Who we are looking for?
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
• Min 10 years of relevant work experience as Project Manager in EPC and EPCM projects ideally for the (bio)pharmaceutical industry, with very good command of spoken and written French or Dutch, as well as English
• Prior experience in a minimum of 2 projects over $200M budget
• Prior experience in a leadership role (Construction Manager, Design Manager, or Project Manager)
• Experience on projects under design and/or construction
• Shown acumen for managing people
• Experience in either construction management role or design management role
• Ability to adapt and respond to requirements of project or client
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Knowledge of English and French
