Health & Safety Advisor

A leading M&E contractor are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in the Leinster area.

Description

Key Responsibilities/Duties
•Liaising with the Health and Safety Manager and site safety lead.
•Liaising with the Site Manager and informing him/her of Health and Safety policies
•Hazard identification and risk assessment on sites.
•Assisting in the implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
•Raise profile of safety within the organisation.
•H&S Training – Sourcing and costing, organising/scheduling.
•Assisting in monitoring all Health and Safety and Environmental regulations and legal requirements.
•Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers.
•Inspecting sites to ensure that health and safety measures are met and maintained.
•Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
•Preparing reports.
•Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

Qualifications / Skills
•A relevant Health and Safety Diploma/degree
•Good communication skills.
•Knowledge of Microsoft packages.
•Ability to fit into a team structure
•High level of initiative.
•Enthusiastic attitude
•Genuine interest in the Construction Industry
•Have an in date safe pass
•Be dynamic and ambitious to succeed within the organisation
