Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs on-site.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation, industry standards, and company policies.
- Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance across the project lifecycle.
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of HSE experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in First Aid, Fire Fighting, or Incident Investigation is an advantage.
- SAMTRAC or equivalent qualification preferred.
