Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Specialist to support and enhance our health, safety, and environmental programs. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing initiatives that protect employees, the environment, and company assets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance & Regulation

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain and update safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Training & Education

  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Promote awareness of safety protocols and environmental responsibilities.
  • Maintain training records and ensure certifications are up to date.
  • Incident Management

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Support emergency response planning and drills.
  • Environmental Stewardship

  • Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions, and spill prevention.
  • Assist in sustainability initiatives and reporting.
  • Coordinate with environmental agencies and consultants as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional safety committees and initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in [insert industry, e.g., manufacturing, construction, oil & gas].
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
    • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.

    Preferred Certifications:

    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
    • Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
    • HAZWOPER Certification
    • First Aid/CPR Trainer Certification
