Are you passionate about improving equipment performance and driving innovation in maintenance strategies? We’re looking for a Mining Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on enhancing preventive maintenance, reducing downtime, and implementing predictive technologies at a major mining operation.
This is a permanent full time position in our client's Mildred Lake office with flexible work schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and refine preventive maintenance schedules in alignment with production goals and equipment availability.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with field maintenance teams to streamline workflows and boost maintenance efficiency.
- Lead and support root cause analyses of equipment failures and implement corrective action plans.
- Advance the use of condition-based monitoring tools to shift from reactive to predictive maintenance.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and reliability teams to improve daily operational practices.
- Coordinate with automation teams to enhance integration between planning and maintenance systems.
- Stay informed on the latest industry practices and technologies in maintenance and reliability.
- Uphold and promote a strong safety culture across all activities.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in mining or heavy industry, with a focus on maintenance, reliability, or operations.
- Degree in Mechanical, Mining, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) registration in BC or Alberta is an asset.
- Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with mine planning or engineering software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Civil CAD) is a plus.
- A proactive approach to safety and risk management.
