Are you passionate about driving innovation in mining operations? TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on optimizing production, maintenance, and reliability at a major mining site. This is a Permanent Full Time position in our client's Mildred Lake office. You can choose to follow either a 5x2 or 4x3 work schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with mine planning teams to develop and refine short- and mid-range mine plans.
- Use advanced planning software to enhance equipment utilization, ore sequencing, and waste management.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Support the integration and optimization of autonomous fleet operations.
- Partner with production, maintenance, and reliability teams to improve daily operational practices.
- Coordinate with automation teams to streamline planning and maintenance processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in mine planning and reliability.
- Champion safety and ensure compliance with all operational standards.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in technical mining roles such as planning, maintenance, reliability, or operations.
- Degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms like SAP or Maximo.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of mine design, planning, and reliability-centered maintenance.
- Experience with mine planning tools such as Vulcan, Deswik, or Civil CAD.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
