Job Title: HSE Superintendent
Location: Pilbara, Western Australia
Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Provide HSE management on the project, ensuring alignment with company and project objectives.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and data to monitor project HSE performance, updating management on HSE challenges and achievements.
• Identify and promote opportunities for HSE performance improvement on the project.
• Ensure divisional HSE requirements are widely and consistently understood and implemented across the project.
• Offer guidance, assistance, and advice to business lines, project management, and company organizations through the interpretation of company HSE practices and procedures in relation to client requirements and current legislation and regulations.
• Meet all project HSE requirements as outlined in the HSE Management Plan.
• Assisting with development of HSE documentation
• Conduct regular Contractor HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate HSE training programs and workshops for project personnel to enhance HSE awareness and competency.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and clients on HSE matters, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the mining or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations in Western Australia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote location.
• Lead ISO Auditor
• Lead ICAM Trained Investigator
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
