Junior Cost Analyst

Major manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a temporary Junior Cost Analyst at their Pueblo facility. This role will be responsible to review, process and prepare financial data related to project costs for a major capital investment. This is a project based position reporting to the Project Controls Manager.

Lead invoice authorization review process
Collaborate with purchasing, accounts payable, and project team to support timely payments
Review time and material (T&M) invoices, validate contract terms, timesheets, expenses, etc.
Track and submit government incentive reimbursements (compiling necessary backup)
Review purchase order (PO) registers to close purchase orders as needed
Support cost controller with cost control budgeting, forecasting, and actual reporting
Support project controls team with progress tracking, cost reporting and Estimate at Completion development
Support project controls team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests as needed
Support month end close process as needed


Job Requirements

0-5 years of project accounting, accounting, or project controls
2-4 year degree in accounting, finance, construction management, business
Familiar with earned value concepts for progress measurement and forecasting
Must be a self-starter with an attention to detail
Microsoft Office Proficiency, intermediate level in Excel required
Oracle or ERP system experience, experience with procure to pay and project costing preferred
Basic understanding of data best practices
Ability to aggregate large amounts of data
Desire to cross-train and fill-in as needed
