Lead Carpenter

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Carpenter on a 45‑calendar‑day assignment on a major Steel Pelletizing Plant project in the Middle East.

The Lead Carpenter will take full accountability for carpentry and refractory-related work during a major project assignment. This role requires hands-on expertise in pelletizing plant operations, particularly across critical areas such as the Annular Cooler (AC), Rotary Kiln (RK), Travelling Grate (TG), and Cyclones.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead carpentry teams on-site, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Oversee construction, installation, and maintenance of refractory structures and plant components.
• Coordinate carpentry activities across key pelletizing plant areas including AC, RK, TG, and Cyclones.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter within industrial or heavy plant environments.
• Hands-on experience in steel pelletizing plants, with exposure to Annular Cooler (AC), Rotary Kiln (RK), Travelling Grate (TG), and Cyclones.
• Strong knowledge of refractory materials, installation, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage carpentry operations under high-intensity project conditions.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards.
