An opportunity has become available for a Regional Technical Sales Specialist. The Regional Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for expanding the customer base within the assigned region while nurturing and maintaining existing relationships. This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, sales capability, and customer service excellence to represent the client’s range of products effectively. The role is located in the Johannesburg, South Africa.
Job Responsibilities:
- Grow and develop the regional customer base while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Promote the company’s full product range through cold calling, technical sales presentations, and live product demonstrations.
- Maximize sales opportunities and ensure exceptional customer service delivery.
- Stay up to date with the company’s existing and newly launched products.
- Provide strong technical sales support across all product lines offered by the client.
- Actively use the Bluewave CRM to plan and manage daily sales activities.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts and create customer quotations using the CRM platform.
- Attend bi‑weekly sales meetings via MS Teams and report daily to the Sales Manager.
- Work closely with Marketing, Solutions, Service, and Project teams to support customer requirements and drive sales growth.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong product knowledge of the client’s product range and/or a solid technical background in process instrumentation.
- Experience working with process control instruments for measuring:
- Flow
- Level
- Pressure
- Moisture & humidity
- Gas analysis
- Knowledge of manual and automated valves and their applications within process control environments.
Sales Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to develop and implement:
- Account plans
- Sales forecasts
- Call plans
- Detailed reports
- Tenacious, self‑driven, and fully accountable in managing the region.
- Strong business acumen, commercially focused, outcome‑oriented.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Previous experience working with a CRM system is highly advantageous.
