TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Lead Civil Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a civil engineering team for various project development and construction tasks.
- Engage in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting processes.
- Track key material quantities and provide detailed analysis and projections.
- Conduct and validate engineering calculations, specify necessary equipment, and address complex engineering challenges.
- Ensure project documentation meets requirements and resolve any inconsistencies.
- Create and refine project specifications and design criteria.
- Prepare and review estimates, schedules, progress reports, and labor forecasts.
- Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors.
- Assist in drafting technical documents, including studies, reports, contracts, and recommendations.
- Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Accredited Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of work-related experience.
- Experience in mining projects.
- Strong communication skills with various audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Ability to produce concise technical reports and presentation materials.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
- Proficiency in word processing, email, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation software.
