TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Lead Civil Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Oversee a civil engineering team for various project development and construction tasks.
• Engage in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting processes.
• Track key material quantities and provide detailed analysis and projections.
• Conduct and validate engineering calculations, specify necessary equipment, and address complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure project documentation meets requirements and resolve any inconsistencies.
• Create and refine project specifications and design criteria.
• Prepare and review estimates, schedules, progress reports, and labor forecasts.
• Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors.
• Assist in drafting technical documents, including studies, reports, contracts, and recommendations.
• Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Accredited Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of work-related experience.
• Experience in mining projects.
• Strong communication skills with various audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Ability to produce concise technical reports and presentation materials.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Proficiency in word processing, email, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation software.
