Maintenance Manager

Our client, a world-class environmental service organization and market leader in industrial hazardous waste management, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Kitchener, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the Maintenance Department and Site Services.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Provide counsel to plant employees on any equipment/maintenance issues
• Ensure the spare parts inventory is well maintained
• Assure preventative measures are performed and records are maintained
• Assist in plant inspection by ensuring all piping, tanks, and vessel inspections are up to date
• Provide training for equipment and operation, safety topics, and other issues.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Supervisory experience
• College or Specialized training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior knowledge of accounting principles
• Computer skills
