TRS Staffing is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor to join their client’s team of professionals in the Northern Charleston Area!
Direct Placement/Full Time
Compensation $65,000

Job Summary:
Manage resources on multiple shifts in maintenance and preventative maintenance of machines, equipment and facility-related issues associated with the production of drive shafts.
Make continuous improvements in a team oriented production environment where Lean Manufacturing Principles, 8D’s, and continuous improvement are the norm.

Education:
• Associate’s degree in a related field and/or at least five (5) years of equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to walk/move about a 125,000 sq ft manufacturing facility: 100% of the time
• Other duties and specifications assigned

Required Experience:
• Must be familiar with computer applications and/or controlled systems
• Must be familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM)
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software applications
• Must be familiar with TS 16949 and/or ISO9000 requirements as well as Tier I and Tier II automotive supplier specs.
• Must be familiar with Statistical Process Control
• Must be proficient with PLC and PC based control systems
• Must have working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Must be proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Essential Functions:
• Assist with design, implementation, and modification of preventative maintenance programs.
• Determine work priorities based on the overall goals and objectives then direct and track the maintenance staff accordingly
• Train, develop, motivate, and lead the maintenance staff to achieve established goals and objectives related to machine repairs, building/repairing tooling/fixtures, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, facility-related repairs, and safety-related duties.
• Encourage employees to make suggestions to improve the production processes by leading and/or participating in Kaizen events, listening to suggestions, and promoting two-way open communications among employees, co-workers, peers and management.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established safety practices.
• Manage equipment records to allow effective diagnosis, maintenance and improvement of machines and preventive / predictive maintenance plans.
• Responsible for writing timely, objective performance reviews and communicating results in one-on-one meetings in a timely fashion.
• Develop, implement, and participate in work improvement plans for employees as appropriate in accordance with established company practices and procedures.
