"TRS is urgently looking for experienced Marine Operational Superintendent within the Oil and Gas Industry to join our leading international client's LNG Mozambique project team based at Afungi Site, Mozambique."

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Be responsible for the maintenance and provision of all nautical publications to comply with statutory regulations, company and charterers requirements
• To provide guidance to Masters and staff on all towing, safety and marine matters.
• To conduct appraisals on all deck officers (including potential candidates) and assess for suitability.
• To be in charge of monthly review of logs process.
• To maintain, review and develop as necessary the company operations system.
• To deliver training to crews onboard to improve standards Liaison with customers on operational matters, vessel performance, etc. including attendance at customer facility meetings.
• To arrange and/ or conduct surveys to third party vessels when necessary and closure of punchlist to ensure smooth acceptance to charterer.
• Make suggestions for improvements and savings within area of responsibility.
• Ensure that proper cost/benefit evaluations are made prior to bringing forward any recommendations.
• To develop, instigate and monitor crew training and development schedule, with particular regards to ISM familiarization.
• To assist in other operational duties as may be required from time to time.
• Make suggestions for the improvement of the execution of tasks and working instructions.

TERTIARY QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Recognized and accredited tertiary qualification or equivalent work related experience as Marine Operations Superintendent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience within the Petrochemical Industry.
• Competency knowledge in Offshore anchor handling/ towing.
• Shipboard ISM/ ISPS code, Marine insurance and Seamanship knowledge.
