Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a MOF Operations Manager! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and excellent accommodations.
In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will be a subject matter expert in "Marine Operations" who will execute to existing MOF operations execution plans, procedures, work instructions, etc.., including during the period when the MOF is under construction. Upon completions of MOF construction, transition will occur to overseeing its operation, which will include receiving some of the largest prefabricated construction modules in Canadian history.
Job duties:
-Support arrival, mooring, cargo discharge and sail away of marine vessels to/from the MOF
-Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, governmental agencies and other key organizations
-Review and approve all safe work practices and work plans for work at the MOF
-Schedule , train, overview and monitor the work of all direct craft involved in MOF operations. Mentor and develop skills of supervisors and craft trades
-Coordinate with all vessels and ensure their work is performed safely
-Coordinate and oversee all work performed by outside contractors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime and Logistics field is preferred
- 10+ years of marine operations management experience
- Minimum of 5 years managing subcontractors
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory position
- Extensive experience with mooring activities
- Canadian boating license, CPS-ECP boating course
- Previous experience with SPMT's preferred
