Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of energy infrastructure projects (e.g., substations, transmission lines etc)
- Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants
- Oversee civil and structural design reviews, approvals, and construction activities
- Administer and negotiate contracts (FIDIC, NEC, bespoke forms), ensuring compliance and risk mitigation
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and reporting tools
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and promote a safety-first culture
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and change control processes
- Support tendering and procurement activities, including technical evaluations
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
- Chartered status (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within energy or infrastructure sectors
- Strong understanding of contract law and experience with major contract forms (e.g., NEC, FIDIC)
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale energy projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
- Knowledge of grid connection and transmission infrastructure
- Familiarity with environmental and planning regulations
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
