Our client, a global engineering consultancy is looking for a Project Planner to join them on a two year fixed term contract.
Duties include:
  • Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and sequencing key activities that influence overall timelines.
  • Perform variance and schedule analyses to compare planned versus actual progress, recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Clearly communicate project timelines and updates to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Create detailed resource allocation and scheduling plans to support project delivery.
  • Proactively anticipate potential delays and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Requirements:
  • 3–7 years of experience in project planning, with no specific sector focus required; an interest in Energy or Engineering is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of project risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve project-related issues effectively.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and managing detailed project schedules using tools such as Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Confident communicator, capable of presenting project updates clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Success in this role requires responsiveness, clarity, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Must be based within commuting distance of Cork; relocation support is not available.
  • Applicants must be Irish citizens or have the right to work permanently in Ireland, as visa sponsorship is not provided.
