Job Summary:
The Project Risk Lead is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks that could impact the successful delivery of projects. This role ensures that risk management strategies are embedded throughout the project lifecycle, enabling proactive decision-making and safeguarding project objectives.
The position will be based in Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Identification & Assessment
- Conduct risk workshops and interviews with stakeholders.
- Identify potential project risks across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and resources.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register.
Risk Mitigation & Planning
- Formulate risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate risk responses into project plans.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track risk status and effectiveness of mitigation actions.
- Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Update risk documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate communication between project teams, sponsors, and external partners regarding risk issues.
- Provide training and guidance on risk management practices.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and reviews related to project risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in project risk management, preferably in large-scale or complex projects.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software (e.g., ARM, Primavera Risk Analysis).
- Ability to work under pressure and make strategic decisions.
