Project Supply Manager

We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Supply Manager for the Procurement department of our client (Randstad area).

The procurement department covers the entire supply chain and is responsible for all subcontracting of fabrication, procurement and expediting of materials and equipment and all logistics operations for projects worldwide.

As Project Supply Manager you are responsible for all supply-related activities within a project. You coordinate the total process of procurement and subcontracting, expediting and logistics in order to deliver materials and equipment on time, within budget and according specifications to the jobsite.

Together with the Project Manager and Project Engineer you are in charge of the daily operations in the project. You are managing all buyers, expeditors, subcontract coordinators and transport coordinators working on the project. You prepare and maintain the project procurement plan and set up the project-specific purchasing conditions. You have a high degree of freedom, but also responsibility!

We are looking for an experienced project supply manager with a higher professional or academic education, preferably in a technical direction. You have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience as technical buyer, supply manager or project manager in a project-oriented organization, and have experience with fabrication.

You are a professional partner for the project execution team. You work pro-actively together with other disciplines like engineering, strategic procurement, quality control and sales. Key-words in which you recognize yourselves are hands-on, spider-in-the-web, good communicator, helicopter view.

You are able to communicate and cooperate with different cultures and have a good working knowledge of English and Dutch, both written as well as verbal. You will travel internationally on a regular basis.

Your communication skills are excellent and you are able to work independently. Considering that we work in a project organization, it is essential that your work is transparent for your colleagues. You should be able to handle time pressure, act quickly, maintain the overview and structure, and set correct priorities.
