Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and inspect rigging equipment, slings, and lifting gear.
- Signal crane operators and guide loads during lifting operations.
- Secure loads for lifting, transport, and placement.
- Interpret lifting plans, load charts, and technical drawings.
- Conduct pre-lift inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with site safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and relocation as needed.
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
- Valid Red Seal Certification as a Rigger or equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum 5+ years of rigging experience in mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of load dynamics, lifting techniques, and rigging safety.
- Experience working with cranes, hoists, and heavy machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lifting plans.
- Physically fit and capable of working in challenging site conditions.
