We currently seek a high caliber Sr. Design Engineer for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Aliso Viejo, CA

The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative functions and technical knowledge within the Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Design capacity in order to promote our client’s competitiveness within the global marketplace. This position serves as a Lead / Area Lead on assigned projects and/or performs moderately complex engineering assignments.

• Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecasts
• Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts as related to material quantity trends
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria for projects
• Perform and check calculations for complex to difficult engineering challenges
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to technical problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives as related to:

- Civil Engineering – Site-Prep, Grading, Paving/Roadways, Stormwater Drainage systems for industrial facilities
- Structural Engineering – Design of new or retrofit of Steel industrial structures and foundations, such as Equipment Structures, Pipe-racks, Retaining walls, industrial buildings, and equipment foundations
- Architecture – Design of buildings including unique industrial and heavy industrial buildings, Building Code Analysis, Floor Plans and Elevations, Building Details.
