In this role you will handle all electrical engineering related activities associated with the different phases of the project. And consider the responsibility as being the owner/operator of the new plant.
Responsibilities:
- Perform conceptual and basic design of the electrical system including preparing electrical load list, single line diagram, layout and dimensions for substation and switchgear room, cable routing for renewable petrochemical and gas facilities.
- Equipment design and preparing specifications and data sheets for electrical system components.
- Preparing MTOs and preliminary cost estimate for electrical system
- Preparing Hazardous area classification documents/ drawings
- Study primary power supply scenarios for appropriate reliability of the electrical systems and cost-effective solution.
- Review Engineering design packages issued by FEED/ EPC Contractor and other third parties related to Electrical equipment and systems to ensure appropriate design, material selection and cost minimization.
- Review design documents for anode monitoring and Cathodic Protection (CP) systems.
- Conduct electrical systems study, assessments and audits to assets related to DC battery systems, EDG and Solar Systems.
- Develop continuous improvements solutions for electrical challenges.
Requested:
- You should (at least) hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in Petrochemical & Gas Industry
- Having effective involvement in different phases of the project; engineering, vendor document review and coordination, installation
- Ability to develop design packages and conduct studies for electrical systems.
- Full knowledge of international standards and best practices such as IEC, API, NPR and good experience in ETAP.
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in electrical engineering projects, design, studies, investigations, analysis, optimization, procurement, installation, commissioning
- Proven working experience and detailed knowledge with transformers, generators, solar power, battery chargers, battery banks, Cathodic protection, heat tracing, motors, power distribution, buildings electrical systems, power metering, power cables, electrical equipment selection criteria, electrical systems sizing and power optimization solutions.
- Experience with Hazardous Area Classification
- Understanding of Motor Schematic, Three-line, and Wiring diagrams
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications
- Already living and working (authorized) in The Netherlands.
