Position: Senior Project Manager
Location: Saint John, NB
Are you an experienced leader in project management with a strong background in refinery or oil & gas environments? We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to take charge of complex capital projects from concept to completion. This is your opportunity to drive impactful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure safe, efficient, and successful delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the early development and execution of medium to large-scale capital projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
- Build comprehensive project plans covering timelines, budgets, resources, and risk strategies.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear, consistent communication.
- Anticipate challenges, implement mitigation plans, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Oversee vendor relationships to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams—engineering, construction, project controls—to achieve project milestones.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and presentations.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cost, schedule, and quality standards throughout execution.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required).
- Experience: 15+ years in project management within engineering/construction, ideally in refinery or oil & gas facilities (brownfield and greenfield projects).
- Strong early-phase project experience with heavy process design engineering.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Financial acumen and strong organizational skills.
- Professional designation (P.Eng. or PMP) is an asset.
