Site Civil Engineer

Our client is looking for an Onshore Site Civil Engineer.
The right candidate for the role will have :

• Extensive experience as a Site Civil Engineer role on HV Cable Installation construction projects
• CSCS – PQS or similar (Current).
• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent required. High level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH would be an advantage
• A proven track record in civil engineering with infrastructure and HV Cable Civils construction projects
• An excellent understanding of the range of available civil engineering techniques, including trenchless technologies (HDD and TBM) with a practical approach to implementation.
• The capability to work within a team and to manage competing demands from the project
• Excellent communication skills, report writing and able to communicate effectively within a team
• Strong coordination skills, highly motivated, confident and resourceful
Fluent in English speaking / writing

The candidate for the role shall:-

• Have a working knowledge of construction health, safety and environmental legislation
• Demonstrate recent experience (ideally minimum 10 years) of supervising major and complex civil construction sites with recent utility experience
• Hold qualifications supporting a Civil / Construction Engineering construction discipline
• Have experience in the review and control of RAMS, Quality and technical documents.
• Be a recognised site supervisor holding SSSTS, CCNSG Safety Passport (Supervisor), NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar
• High Voltage cable/equipment experience.
• Have a working knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks Act and Highway specification (MCHW/DMRB)
