Electrical Senior Design Engineer

TRS STAFFING is seeking an Electrical Senior Design Engineer in Houston, TX

Job Description
Under general supervision, perform and check calculations and design
Work independently and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
If serving in a Lead or Area Lead position, perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, assign work, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities
Prepare and perform to estimates, schedules, man-hour, manpower, and material forecasts
Assist in audits
Provide assistance, as requested, in the areas of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement activities, etc.
Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and procedures
Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs
Actively participate in, promote, and maximize the use of, Fluor’s Knowledge Community and other available resources
Support the Discipline Excellence Leader on assignments, as required
Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals
Actively participate in external technical seminars and self-enroll in advance management training courses
Develop client relations
Focus on performance development input and counseling
Provide closer interface with, and promote understanding of, other discipline functions
Electrical Activities
Advanced System Studies and Relay Coordination
Keeps up with Work Plans and Project Schedule Requirements
Prepares narrative specifications
Act as Engineer of Record and Seals Documents
Lead Tasks and works with engineers reviewing and monitoring work
Completes work in allotted time
Professional Attitude
Other duties as assigned

Expected Minimum Requirements
•BS in Electrical Engineering
•Professional Registration and membership in external technical society preferred
•10 years of experience
