We currently seek a high caliber Staff Accountant for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Irvine, California.
Job Overview:
The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and demonstrate a good understanding of accounting processes and concepts to support the Finance and Accounting teams with both day-to-day operations as well as period-end reporting. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting process and functions and work closely with all levels of employees and vendors.
Job Requirements / Must haves:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting standards
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
• Being a team player
• Experience with working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Maintain a high level of honesty and integrity
• Familiarity with BST and SAP Concur is a plus
• Bilingual in Mandarin
Job Duties:
• Prepare monthly journal entries and bank reconciliations
• Manage AP invoicing and expense report processing
• Prepare weekly payments via ACH & wires
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedule
• Maintain prepaid and amortization schedule
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
• Assist with monthly management reports
• Perform quarterly balance sheet account analysis
• Assist with annual foreign statutory financial statement audits and tax returns
• Assist with annual state and federal tax return preparation
