Turnover Engineer

As Turnover Engineer you will be a key part of our project team and responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the start-up/ decommissioning engineering activities on the Fluor Falcon Kulim Project - with the technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.

This role will be based on site at the Kulim Hi-Tech jobsite offices.

Key Responsibilities
• Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs multidisciplined start-up/ decommissioning activities for the assigned project(s). Provides start-up/ decommissioning supervision or assistance at the jobsite as assigned.

• Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned direct reports, estimates staffing needs and schedules, and assigns work to meet completion dates.

• Participates in proposal preparation activities as required.

• Prepares or directs the preparation of operations manuals.

• Ensures that work being performed is within scope of services and within budget.

• Inputs to project management, engineering, and construction to ensure start-up/ decommissioning requirements are incorporated into project activities, including review of project designs and construction to ensure operable and project personnel safety.

• Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval to complete work

• Reviews and approves key start-up/ decommissioning methods, procedures, and schedules on assigned project(s).

• Directs the preparation of procedural manuals and other instructions which govern facility operations and maintenance and monitors adherence to same.

• Ensures that all federal and state safety codes, requirements, and standards are complied with.

• Implements, within area of responsibility, all safety and security programs adopted for the facility and ensures strict adherence to these programs.

• Completes performance reviews for assigned direct reports and provides appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.

• Supervises and provides technical guidance to personnel assigned to the project for tasks within area of responsibility.

• Schedules, coordinates, and directs the operation and maintenance activities of a small to medium-sized single-operation facility.

• Provides backup support for the Site Manager and Project Field Engineer.

Skills / Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Has a minimum of 10 years relevant working experience
- Extensive track record managing Construction activities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Excellent computer literacy and skills
- Basic leadership and decision-making skills
- Basic computer software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Fluency in English
