CAD Engineer

Job Title: CAD Engineer

Status of Hire: direct placement
Pay: $160,000 + bonus
Summary: This role will be responsible for creating and managing CAD 3D models using our internal tools. This role may take on functions of BIM management as well depending on skills and interest.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Creating and automating large batches of 3D models following internal and industry standards.
• Proactively suggesting new workflow and process improvements.
• Assist with the development and documentation of CAD standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Building CAD libraries.
• BIM management and software/platform selection, configuration, and organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Engineering degree; understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles
• 5-8 years minimum related work experience
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or chemical engineering concepts, including design, manufacture, installation, and assembly of equipment and systems which meet all manufacturing process and safety standards.
• Autodesk platform experience highly preferred (or other similar 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools)
• Design experience in power systems is a plus
• Commitment to high quality, on time and accurately budgeted work
• Excellent communication skills
