We are hiring for a UK based 30 years old uniquely diverse global management, engineering and development consultancy that offers a diverse range of opportunities for potential employees to work with World Expert.

JOB TITLE: Chief Traction Power Supply Engineer.

EXPERIENCE RANGE: 15-20 years; Minimum 7 years’ progressive experience in traction power distribution design engineering with significant experience in rail and transit projects

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: B.E./B.Tech – Electrical Engineering.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Design of AC & DC traction power distribution solutions for rail projects, including Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) & Third/Fourth rail systems
•Technical management and project engineering of traction power distribution projects
•Load flow studies for light rail, urban transit and Class 1 projects.
•Engineering of MV distribution systems.
•Integration of these systems into overall light rail, urban transit and heavy freight projects.
•Interaction with all project bid and execution teams on matters of traction power conversion and MV distribution including resolutions to issues arising during operation.
•Support of construction activities from the office and in the field Commissioning and setting to work of signaling/train control systems
•Project proposal generation support.
•Providing tactical support for all Traction Power, Systems Engineering, Integration and Assurance activities for MM rail projects across Canada and the US as needed.
•Demonstrable strength in OCS pole and suspension equipment analysis and design.
•Experience in EMI/EMC management
•Competent in site inspections and condition assessment.
•Knowledge of railway systems operations and the impact on distribution systems.
•Able to hold competent technical discussions with Client representatives.
•Able to interface with domain specialists, design managers and construction project managers, in a competent professional manner.
Experience of delivery within major infrastructure projects.
