CNC Plasma Machine Operator in Chesnee, SC

start at $20/hr - $22/hr DOE 2nd shift

BASIC FUNCTION:

Operate computer programmable/controllable machine. Oversee a series of progressive machine operations on repetitive work that comply with drawing specifications.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow Safety Rules and Regulations
• Read and interpret shop drawings, weld symbols, and specifications as needed for specific machines
• Efficient use of machining techniques and methods to set up machinery for production
• Efficient operation of CNC Equipment
• Effective following of CNC Equipment Operational and Processing procedures
• Download the proper operating program and make minor adjustments to maintain product specifications
• Assure that necessary tools are installed for the process
• Assure positioning of materials prior to entry into the machinery
• Monitor for any problems and regularly check the product to specifications
• Make minor adjustments as needed or seek assistance for resolving difficult operating problems
• Assure that specifications are met, and the quality of the product is acceptable
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean, organized, and well maintained
• Routine maintenance as deemed “Attendant Maintenance” duties
• Other duties as determined by Supervisor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Lifting 50 pounds or more on a repetitive, Bending, Sitting, and Standing for long periods of time
• Physical ability to work and climb on and around work supports
• 20/20 vision with corrective lenses

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Must have good math skills and be able to add or subtract feet, inches, and fractions
• Neat handwriting Prior CNC experience preferred.

TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED:
• Equipment Manufacturer Training
• Safety Rules, Regulations, Policies, and Practices
• Necessary Certifications to perform duties
