Continuous Improvement Manager

TRS Staffing Solutions has a great opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager to work for one of the leading firms in the infrastructure industry. Our client is based in Toronto, ON, building some of the most impactful infrastructure projects. In this role, you will utilize your skillsets and expertise to improve operational excellence, processes, and productivity across the organization

Responsibilities:

• Proactively train, support and sustain Lean thinking, processes, and culture to benefit our projects, employees, and customers.
• Highly focus on operations support and implementation.
• Work with sector manager or CI lead to implement strategic plan.
• Analyze existing work practices, identify waste, and establish productivity measures
• Employs lean tools and methodologies to resolve problems and improve existing operations and processes.
• Drives productivity improvement on major projects within the sector by identifying, coordinating, and leading efforts.
• Drives strong collaboration and communication between the projects, sharing/leveraging best practices.
• Perform workplace assessments and time studies to streamline processes and improve productivity within sector.
• Coordinate and align with sector Quality and HSE group support sharing key project elements around innovation and CI within the company

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent training.
• At least 5-10 years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in using requirement tools includin DOORS, DOORS NG etc.
• Working knowledge of DXL scripting.
• Strong communication skills
