Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates and budgets for mining infrastructure projects.
- Monitor project expenditures and forecast cost trends.
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow projections, and variance analyses.
- Support procurement and contract teams with cost-related insights.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and industry standards.
- Lead cost engineering efforts across multiple projects or large-scale packages.
- Mentor junior team members and provide strategic input to project leadership.
- Interface with executive stakeholders and provide high-level financial reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost control systems and processes.
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum (5 - 10+ years’ experience in cost engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven track record in managing cost control for large-scale mining or industrial projects.
- Advanced knowledge of cost systems, risk analysis, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
