Electrical Project Engineer

Manufacturer in the St. Louis, MO area is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for a direct hire, permanent role. This position manages, designs, and validates electrical systems in the development of consumer products. Will design electrical components and work with regulatory agencies to certify new equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Design, develop and validate equipment and electrical controls (including PCB design) for domestic and international markets, including regulatory compliance and certification. Including building test equipment and fixtures.
• Establish development standards and modularity to the software process, delivering new technology to our industries
• Manage regulatory process and work with product engineering to achieve product certifications.
• Establish processes and tools to create a robust data management system for electrical engineering documentation.
• Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline by escalating issues at the appropriate time to reduce/minimize impact to projects
• Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
• Design PCBs for products used in commercial environments
• Read and create electronics schematics and decipher circuit diagram functions
• Work with existing files and making improvements/corrections as needed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years electrical design experience.
• Experience with working and communicating with global suppliers
• Experience designing circuits and specifying electrical components that comply with US and World regulatory agencies
• Experience working with various Regulatory Agencies globally preferred
• Professional skilled in Process Control, Control Systems Design, Electrical Wiring, and Systems Engineering with a strong mechanical aptitude
• Adept at interpreting project and product needs, developing product requirements and executing with a cross-functional development team.
• Solidworks, Ultium, Microsoft Excel, Power BI intermediate to advanced experience preferred
• SmartSheet and SharePoint experience a plus
