TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Field Engineering Manager role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in project leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning and risk mitigation.
- Manage the flow of engineering information, including RFIs, design clarifications, and as-built documentation.
- Lead engineering walkdowns, pressure testing programs, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Support procurement and contract teams with technical evaluations and vendor interface.
- Coordinate the preparation of technical work instructions and ensure alignment with project execution plans.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between construction, engineering, and clients.
- Oversee the development and implementation of site-specific engineering procedures and quality documentation.
- Support construction execution by resolving technical queries, managing field modifications, and ensuring constructability of design deliverables.
- Lead and mentor on-site engineering and document control personnel.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Professional Engineering designation preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in field engineering roles within large-scale industrial or mining projects.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary site engineering teams.
- Strong background in concentrator or mineral processing facility construction.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with 3D model review tools such as Navisworks or SmartPlant.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across all project levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering collaboration platforms.
