Field Materials Manager

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Field Materials Manager role to work on our clients’ large-scale site project. This role will oversee aspects of material coordination and logistics execution. This will be an on-site role in Northern British Columbia. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
 

• Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, planning, and supply chain teams
• Manage laydown yards, storage facilities, and on-site inventory controls
• Coordinate delivery planning with procurement teams, suppliers, and transportation partners
• Establish and enforce site procedures for receiving, inspection, tagging, and material handling
• Proactively identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure full visibility of materials from shipment through receipt, storage, and issuance
• Oversee third-party logistics providers and subcontractors working on site
• Develop and maintain material flow strategies aligned with project schedules and sequencing
• Lead all on-site logistics and material movement activities in support of construction execution
• Preform other duties as assigned

Requirements
 

• 7+ years of experience in logistics, materials coordination, or supply chain roles
• Proven background supporting site-based or construction-driven projects
• Experience in industrial, resource, energy, or large infrastructure environments 
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with materials management or enterprise systems
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving project environment
• Willingness and ability to work on site in a remote northern location
