We are currently recruiting Engineering and Projects specialists within the mining sector to support the delivery of integrated project services across the full project lifecycle. Our focus is on securing highly skilled professionals who can contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable projects and operational outcomes.
As we prepare for upcoming project opportunities and anticipated contract awards, we are proactively building a strong network of specialist talent to ensure readiness to mobilize once work is confirmed.
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and coordinate commissioning activities across multiple projects, ensuring a safe, efficient transition from construction completion to full operational readiness. This role is based in Johannesburg. Seize your chance and apply today!
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules across project phases.
- Lead and coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and handover activities.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams during commissioning.
- Ensure integration between construction, quality, and operational readiness.
- Oversee commissioning documentation, system turnover, and certification processes.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve technical and sequencing issues.
- Drive quality standards, defect (punch) management, and compliance requirements.
- Support performance testing, handover, and operational ramp-up.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred).
- 10–15 years’ experience in commissioning within industrial or engineering projects, with leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of full commissioning lifecycle and system interfaces.
- Experience with document management systems and quality processes.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
