Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for the HSE support for a team of engineers and designers undertaking brownfield engineering, design and construction. You will also be responsible for managing the site Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) process, systems and programs. Through the provision of services and support activities that continually enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operation and in particular the HSE performance.
Job Requirements
• Prior experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role in a brownfield engineering, design and construction environment.
• Certification in safety and workplace training and assessments.
• Possess an in depth knowledge of legislation, regulations and industry standards and requirements that relate to HSE.
• Ensure that all personnel and sub-contractors are competent to undertake appropriate risk assessment processes for work that would present any
hazard or risk to personnel or equipment.
• Conduct, manage and report on all HSE incident investigations inclusive of development and implementation of remedial action.
• Develop, implement and support HSE education and training programs, to create and improve HSE awareness.
• Liaise with client, where appropriate, to incorporate changes to site policies/legislation.
• Maintain HSE records, reports and documents required to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
• An ability to guide and focus work groups to accomplish specific objectives.
• Experience promoting close and effective integration of efforts between work groups on a site to maintain maximum effectiveness in execution.
• The ability to make decisions based on identifying and understanding issues, problems and opportunities.
• Experience in facilitation of reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID and ENVID.
