We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Supervisor to join our team in Royston. This role is with a global EPC, on an initial 12 month contract outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate instrumentation installation and commissioning activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety procedures during all instrumentation works.
  • Manage and oversee vendor and subcontractor personnel performing instrumentation tasks.
  • Perform and/or witness calibration, loop checks, and functional testing of instrumentation devices and control systems.
  • Implement Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures where required for instrumentation systems.
  • Review and maintain documentation for commissioning and handover to the client.
  • Liaise with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in instrumentation installation and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation standards and calibration procedures.
  • Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems and integration with process control.
  • Excellent supervisory and coordination skills for multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to enforce safety standards and ensure compliance on-site.
